Missing Revit Templates And Content Libraries

Missing Revit Templates And Content Libraries

Revit-Families-MissingMany of you may have just installed the latest version of Building Design Suite to find that your Revit 2015 templates and content libraries are missing.

Yes it's true that unfortunately Building Design Suite media does not come with project templates or the content libraries that you want if you aren't connected to the internet at the time of installing your software. However if your PC or laptop is connected to the internet during installation this content will be available.

But how do we get our content if we are installing Building Design Suite 2015 whilst offline? Well the good news is there is an answer to this dilemma.

Autodesk have recognised this is an issue for some people and have come up with a solution to help you get through this process.

For the 2015 edition, the content that comes with Revit has been given a separate installer which allows you to select these separately to other content.

To get your Revit 2015 templates and content libraries:

In the Control Panel; uninstall Autodesk Revit Content Libraries 2015.

From there select Add/Remove Features which will then allow you to select the content to install.

Once you have done this for your country or required content click next and that's it – your content should then download and be there for you to use.
