If you are struggling to create your own Edge Band material in Woodwork for Inventor please check out this guide, which will show you how with 6 simple steps.
Step 1
Select the woodwork design tab in Inventor, and on the material panel select the assign drop down list.
Step 2
Select the material editor icon; the material editor dialog box will open as shown below, then right click on edge band and select new.
Step 3
Add the required name for the code, and then add the required name and the density of the material. Create the required sizes under raw material size and the CNC machining equipment table, and add additional sizes in the blank area below. Once this is complete select apply to save your settings. You can then close the dialog box.
Step 4
Select the assign drop down list again and select pallet editor, which will open as is shown below. Click on edge band and select the check box on the right to add your edge band to the material panel.
Step 5
Select my edge band shown below and select the material textures for your edge band. Select apply to make your changes.
Step 6
When you select edge band you will now see yours in the list, which you can use to apply edge banding. If you created your own textures you will be able to apply them to your edge banding by creating a new cover appearance in the material editor.
