Autodesk Inventor HSM Essentials Training
Graitec's professional Inventor HSM training is geared to give users the best possible start when first using Autodesk Inventor HSM. HSM is a powerful CAM software application designed to improve productivity and deliver seamless workflows in manufacturing environments so design teams can easily move components from the design stage through to CNC manufacture.
The courses will help users move from 2D/2.5D milling through to 3D milling with multi-axis simultaneous machining into its milling and mill/turn environment using the same intuitive approach to toolpath programming found in the 2D/3D machining strategies.
Inventor HSM Courses Available
Introduction to Autodesk Inventor HSM 2D / 2.5D milling Duration: 1 Day
Introduction to Autodesk Inventor HSM 2D / 2.5D milling, 3D milling, Multi-axis milling and Turning Duration: 2 Days
Designed for: These courses cover the essentials of Autodesk Inventor HSM.
Prerequisites: It is recommended that you have an understanding of the Autodesk Inventor software and have been on Autodesk Inventor Essentials training.
Inventor HSM Course Objectives
- Understand the fundamental concepts, workflows and benefits of using Inventor HSM.
- Locate and navigate the Inventor HSM user interface and browser environments.
- Understand the 2D / 2.5D, 3D, Multi-axis Milling and Turning commands.
- Understand the machining simulation and post process generation.
After completing this course the user will be able to quickly and efficiently program their parts using a variety of strategies in Inventor HSM.
2D / 2.5D
Creating a Setup, Facing, Contouring, Adaptive Clearing, Pocket Machining, Counterboring, Countersinking, Drilling, Tapping, Engraving, Chamfering, Stock Simulation and Post Processing.
3D / 3 + 2
Creating a setup, Facing, outside contouring 2D, roughing using adaptive clearing, Adaptive clearing rest machining, Horizontal finishing, Contour finishing, Parallel finishing, Radii machining, Scallop machining, Pencil milling, Simulation and Post processing.
Swarf milling is a multi-axis strategy for machining with the side of the tool. This strategy supports both machining from contours only and from surfaces. When machining from contours only, you are required to manually synchronize the contours. Swarf supports several different modes that control how to machine down the sides.
Creating a turning setup, facing, machining a turning profile, machining a profile groove, cutting an external thread and cutting off the part.
The suggested course duration is a guideline.
